Central Coast Printing is pleased
to offer it's customers the benefit of uploading their
files to our secure FTP server. This method of file
transfer is more dependable than emailing. Many email
servers will reject large files. When using our FTP
server, the file size is limited only by our storage
capabilities... which is quite large.
Unlike many other company's anonymous
FTP servers, when you log into our secure FTP server
you have access to your own private directory. You don't
have access to other client's files and they don't have
access to yours.
We request that your files (including
all links and fonts) be compressed into one directory
and either "stuffed" using StuffIt*
(Macintosh) or "zipped" using WinZip
(Windows) prior to uploading.
Please use a FTP Client to upload
your compressed file. Do not use a web browser such
as Internet Explorer or Netscape. The following clients
offer free trial periods and are easy to use: Fetch
(Macintosh) or BulletProof
FTP (Windows). Each program comes with instructions
on its use.
Contact your account manager or email
Kirk to have
an FTP account created for you. An email will be sent
to you with your login information.
*Zip files made by the "archive"
feature of Macintosh OSX is NOT a suitable way to compress
your files for FTP transfer.
